The Deadeye Dispatch was first published on Leyte, even as the battle raged. A sister publication, Deadeye Features, seems to be based on weekend magazine sections. The 96th Infantry Division Association used the title for its newsletter, which was published twice a year until the Association was disbanded in 2005, except that there was only one edition in 1968. A CD is available at the Market Place with pdf files of every issue in that series plus three issues from Leyte and an article about the Division that was first published in the Saturday Evening Post.
The present Association was formed immediately after dissolution of the postwar Association, and it resumed publication of a newsletter with the Deadeye Dispatch title. The current and back issues can be opened with the links on this page.
